In Color Easter Cards & Paper Pumpkin Offer

I pulled out a previous Paper Pumpkin kit stamp set to makes these adorable bunny face Easter cards.  I am also using two of the In Colors that will be retiring in a few months with the release of the new Annual Catalog.  You'll want to grab these In Color products while they are still available!

Aren't these little faces cute!  I had some bunny ear stickers left over from the kit and used those as well.  The Happy Easter stamp is an oldie but goody from way back.

The deets:
I started with a Sweet Sugarplum card base then added a layer a 4" x 5 1/4" panel of Peekaboo Peach.  I used Basic Gray ink for the bunnies for a softer look than Basic Black.  The sentiment is stamped in Sweet Sugarplum.

I decided to make a shaker card for the second card.  Again, I started with a Sweet Sugarplum card base and stamped the Easter egg image in Sweet Sugarplum ink.  I used one of the left over 3 x 3 cards that came with the Paper Pumpkin kit and cut a window in half of it.  I added some sequins and created the window using Window Sheets and Foam Adhesive Strips.

A Dapper Day Birthday Card ~ FMS327

The best thing about the True Gentleman suite is the Designer Series Paper.  Or, maybe the corduroy Ribbon.  Then there's the buttons.  Okay, I guess I love it all!   The products I used on this card are from the True Gentleman suite in the Occasions catalog.  Save 10% when you purchase the coordinating Truly Tailored stamp set and punch as a bundle!

Truly Tailored Clear-Mount Bundle

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Cut Tranquil Tide card stock into a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base.  Adhere a 4" x 5 1/2" piece of Night of Navy card stock with SNAIL.

Cut a 3 3/4" x 5 1/4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock and a 2 1/2' x 3 3/4" piece of the True Gentleman DSP.  To angle the Designer Paper, make a small mark a little less than half way down on the left side of the DSP with a pencil.  Line up that mark and the top right corner with the cutting "gutter" on your paper trimmer and trim.  Adhere this to the Very Vanilla card stock and add a piece of Night of Navy 3/8" Corduroy Ribbon.

Stamp the "dapper day" sentiment on a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock and cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and a Tranquil Tide scallop circle using the Layering Circles Framelits.  I love that these two framelit sets work so well together!  Re-stamp the mustache using Chocolate Chip ink and cut out by hand.  I used some of the small edges of my Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the mustache for a bit of dimension.

Finally, using Stampin' Dimensionals adhere the sentiment to the front of the card.

This card came together pretty quickly with the help of the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

St. Patrick's Day Card - FMS326

A friend of mine wants to make a St. Patrick's Day card so I took on the challenge.  I hope she will love it!  I don't have any stamps for St. Patty's except for the sentiment in Teeny Tiny Wishes so I did what any red blooded stamper would do;  searched Pinterest for ideas!  I saw a few cards using the Flower Shop stamp and punch to create a shamrock.  Brilliant!

I decided to pop over to Freshly Made Sketches to see what the challenge was this week.  I thought this sketch would work perfectly for the card.

I started with a Garden Green card base and added a layer of Basic Black under the Whisper White.  I used a small strip of Garden Green gingham DSP from the Quilted Christmas paper pack (retired).  The double layer banner from the Bunch of Banners Thinlits adds a nice border to the sentiment.

I love hearing from you!  If you have questions or thoughts to share about today's post, please leave me a comment below.

Valentine Card Class

Hello stamping friends!

It's been a couple of weeks since my last post.  Thanks for checking back!  Life got busy with my day job and travel to see my two darling grandchildren.  Before I left to see the kiddos, I had a fun day with these ladies making Valentine cards.  My sister was visiting from Vancouver, WA and was in attendance as well, but had to head home before we too the photo.

Here is a quick look at the cards we made. I found inspiration for all of these on Pinterest. There are so many talented stampers out there!

I hope you have fun plans for Valentine's day with your significant other or with friends and family.

It's a Panda Party!

These Party Panda's are just adorable, don't you agree?  This is one of the items you can receive free during Sale-a-Bration with a $50 order.  The little Pandas will work for so many occasions.  This first card would be great for a child, teen or even that crazy Uncle.  :)

I started with a Bermuda Bay card base and a layer of Calypso Coral to match the fun colors in the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper.  This is another item you can earn free for Sale-a-Bration. The Starburst punch adds a bit of pizzazz behind the Panda.  The sentiment was cropped with one of the dies from the Bunch of Banners Framelits.

With Valentine's Day fast approaching I decided that this Panda was sending a love letter.  He's so cute holding that little envelope with the heart in the corner!  Maybe I will send this one to my Granddaughter.  I started with a Real Red card base and a layer of Whisper White.  I ran the Pink Pirouette layer through the ruffled 3D Dynamic Textured embossing folder and added white Metallic-Edge ribbon and 1/8" silver ribbon for a little glam.  The sentiment was cropped using the Sweet & Sassy Framelits.

I love hearing from you!  If you have questions or thoughts to share about today's post, please leave me a comment below.

Petal Palette Case

Happy Friday!  I hope you are heading into the weekend with some fun plans.  I will be busy preparing for a Valentine Card class on January 28.  If you are in the Puget Sound area and would like to attend, drop me a line.

In the meantime, I needed to make a couple of swap cards for another demonstrator friend.  I chose the Petal Palette stamp set and dies for one of my Occasions Mini sets.  I found this card from Clare Daly on Pinterest and loved the layout.  When I first saw this card, copper leaves popped in my head.  Here is my take on her card;

I started with a Sweet Sugarplum card base and added a Rich Razzelberry layer.  The leaves are cut from Copper Foil Sheet using the coordinating dies.  The sentiment is heat embossed with copper embossing powder and popped up with dimensionals.  I used sponge daubers to color in the flower, leaves and the cutest little bird.  Pearl Basic Jewels add a touch of bling.

Stop by tomorrow to see my what I am making using the Sale-a-Bration Party Panda set.

A Flourish for Freshly Made Sketches

Happy Hump Day!  I made this card using last week's sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  I didn't find it in time to play along with the sketch, but I wanted to share it with you anyway.  If you aren't familiar with the FMS team, pop on over for some inspiration.  Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

I chose to use the Flourish Thinlits as my focal point.  The card base is Berry Burst and the gold accent piece is from the Bundle of Love DSP.  The flourish is cut from Sweet Sugar Plum which I think goes nicely with the Berry Burst.  I stamped the sentiment from the new Petal Palette stamp set (available in the Occasions Mini catalog) on Very Vanilla and added a Berry Burst flag for a pop of color.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Creative Escape with Paper Pumpkin

I spent some time this weekend putting together my December Paper Pumpkin kit.  If you aren't familiar with Paper Pumpkin you need to check it out!  It's a creative escape in a bright red box!

How it works
Paper Pumpkin by Stampin’ Up! is a crafting subscription kit that delivers creativity to your door every month. Each box includes everything you need to make a stunning project.  If you are new to stamping, this is a great way to learn the craft.  You can find out more and subscribe at the Paper Pumpkin web site.  Be sure to identify me as your demonstrator so I can follow up!
As an added bonus, during Sale-a-bration when you purchase a 3 month prepaid subscription you get to choose a free SAB item.  How cool is that!  And when you sign up for 6 months, you not only save $1 per month, you get to choose 2 SAB items free.
Here are the cards that I created using the December kit.  These are pretty much exactly as the kit is designed with a couple of small modifications.  Of course, you can change them up as much or as little as you like.

For this last card, I had a scrap of the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper left over from a previous project.  I attached that to the card flap of the envelope (included with the kit).  Doesn't it add a nice pop to the plain envelope?  The Bubbles & Fizz DSP is one of the items you could choose for free with a 3 month Paper Pumpkin subscription.

Contact me today for more information on Paper Pumpkin or any Stampin' Up! products.
