In Color Easter Cards & Paper Pumpkin Offer

I pulled out a previous Paper Pumpkin kit stamp set to makes these adorable bunny face Easter cards.  I am also using two of the In Colors that will be retiring in a few months with the release of the new Annual Catalog.  You'll want to grab these In Color products while they are still available!

Aren't these little faces cute!  I had some bunny ear stickers left over from the kit and used those as well.  The Happy Easter stamp is an oldie but goody from way back.

The deets:
I started with a Sweet Sugarplum card base then added a layer a 4" x 5 1/4" panel of Peekaboo Peach.  I used Basic Gray ink for the bunnies for a softer look than Basic Black.  The sentiment is stamped in Sweet Sugarplum.

I decided to make a shaker card for the second card.  Again, I started with a Sweet Sugarplum card base and stamped the Easter egg image in Sweet Sugarplum ink.  I used one of the left over 3 x 3 cards that came with the Paper Pumpkin kit and cut a window in half of it.  I added some sequins and created the window using Window Sheets and Foam Adhesive Strips.

A Dapper Day Birthday Card ~ FMS327

The best thing about the True Gentleman suite is the Designer Series Paper.  Or, maybe the corduroy Ribbon.  Then there's the buttons.  Okay, I guess I love it all!   The products I used on this card are from the True Gentleman suite in the Occasions catalog.  Save 10% when you purchase the coordinating Truly Tailored stamp set and punch as a bundle!

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Cut Tranquil Tide card stock into a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base.  Adhere a 4" x 5 1/2" piece of Night of Navy card stock with SNAIL.

Cut a 3 3/4" x 5 1/4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock and a 2 1/2' x 3 3/4" piece of the True Gentleman DSP.  To angle the Designer Paper, make a small mark a little less than half way down on the left side of the DSP with a pencil.  Line up that mark and the top right corner with the cutting "gutter" on your paper trimmer and trim.  Adhere this to the Very Vanilla card stock and add a piece of Night of Navy 3/8" Corduroy Ribbon.

Stamp the "dapper day" sentiment on a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock and cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and a Tranquil Tide scallop circle using the Layering Circles Framelits.  I love that these two framelit sets work so well together!  Re-stamp the mustache using Chocolate Chip ink and cut out by hand.  I used some of the small edges of my Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the mustache for a bit of dimension.

Finally, using Stampin' Dimensionals adhere the sentiment to the front of the card.

This card came together pretty quickly with the help of the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

St. Patrick's Day Card - FMS326

A friend of mine wants to make a St. Patrick's Day card so I took on the challenge.  I hope she will love it!  I don't have any stamps for St. Patty's except for the sentiment in Teeny Tiny Wishes so I did what any red blooded stamper would do;  searched Pinterest for ideas!  I saw a few cards using the Flower Shop stamp and punch to create a shamrock.  Brilliant!

I decided to pop over to Freshly Made Sketches to see what the challenge was this week.  I thought this sketch would work perfectly for the card.

I started with a Garden Green card base and added a layer of Basic Black under the Whisper White.  I used a small strip of Garden Green gingham DSP from the Quilted Christmas paper pack (retired).  The double layer banner from the Bunch of Banners Thinlits adds a nice border to the sentiment.

I love hearing from you!  If you have questions or thoughts to share about today's post, please leave me a comment below.
